Swissport launches cargo operations at Shanghai Pudong airport

Swissport has officially launched operations at Shanghai Pudong International Airport, marking its entry into the Chinese market and a significant milestone for its air cargo business.
Located at the world's second-largest cargo hub, the new operation combines Swissport's global cargo handling expertise with advanced digital and intelligent infrastructure to support the rapidly growing cross-border e-commerce sector.
The facility is connected to Swissport's global network, which spans 312 airports across 49 countries. According to the company, the operation will strengthen connectivity between Shanghai and major international cargo hubs while introducing advanced cold chain capabilities and AI-enabled systems aimed at supporting faster, smarter and more reliable cargo flows.
Swissport thanked its teams, partner Smarex, and all those involved in establishing the new operation.
