Air Canada Cargo is bolstering its winter operations by adding new dedicated freighter routes from its global hub in Toronto to Amsterdam, Monterrey, and Panama City. These new additions will provide significant main-deck capacity along crucial transatlantic and Latin American trade corridors.

Starting October 29, a twice-weekly service to Amsterdam will enhance Air Canada Cargo’s European presence, complementing its existing passenger flights to the city. Meanwhile, the addition of Monterrey and Panama City will deepen cargo connectivity to vital manufacturing and distribution hubs across Mexico and Central America. Together, the three new destinations broaden Air Canada Cargo’s scheduled offerings from Toronto and create more flexible routing options for goods moving between Europe, Canada, and Latin America.

“The introduction of our freighters in Amsterdam is an important step in strengthening our European network. This gives us dedicated main-deck capacity at a time of year when transatlantic capacity is more constrained, helping us better serve customers in the Netherlands and across Europe while creating opportunities to connect their cargo through our global network,” said Matthieu Casey, Managing Director, Commercial – Cargo at Air Canada. “Together with new freighter service to Monterrey and Panama City, these additions enhance two-way connectivity between Europe and our growing Latin American network, creating more opportunities to reach key markets such as Quito, Lima, Bogotá and Mexico City.”

The expansion is also welcomed by Canada's busiest air travel and trade hub, which plays a pivotal role in the carrier's international operations.

"As Canada’s largest airport for international trade and cargo, Toronto Pearson plays a critical role in connecting Canadian businesses to global markets,” said Carl Jones, Head of Aviation Business Development, Toronto Pearson. “Our longstanding relationship with Air Canada helps ensure the reliable movement of goods that support businesses, strengthen supply chains and drive economic growth. This expanded service reinforces trade links between Canada, Europe and Latin America, creating new opportunities for businesses and improving access to key global markets.”
