DHL Supply Chain Türkiye and Biogen Türkiye have expanded their logistics partnership to include temperature-controlled storage, warehouse management, active distribution and value-added services for healthcare products. The expanded services will support the handling and delivery of temperature-sensitive treatments to healthcare institutions across Türkiye.
The partnership began last year with storage services. Under the new agreement, Biogen Türkiye's products will be managed at DHL Supply Chain Türkiye's facility in Istanbul, where they will be stored under controlled temperatures of 2–8°C and high security standards.
The expanded arrangement will bring storage, warehouse operations, value-added services and distribution under a more integrated service. DHL Supply Chain Türkiye will also use temperature-controlled vehicles equipped with real-time tracking systems to transport treatments to healthcare institutions across the country.
To support the additional services, DHL Supply Chain Türkiye has increased its fleet of active temperature-controlled vehicles. The additional capacity will support Biogen Türkiye's operations and strengthen DHL's capabilities in life sciences and healthcare logistics.
Buket Cox, Country Managing Director of DHL Supply Chain Türkiye, said the expanded partnership would provide a more integrated logistics service for temperature-sensitive treatments. She said product integrity, quality and reliability were central to healthcare logistics because deliveries could affect patients' continued access to treatment.
Ömer Faruk Arslan, Country Head of Biogen Türkiye, said reliable supply chain solutions were important for maintaining access to treatments for people living with complex and rare diseases. He added that the company would continue to focus on delivering products on time and under the required conditions through its expanded partnership with DHL Supply Chain Türkiye.
The expansion comes as DHL Group increases its focus on life sciences and healthcare logistics. In April 2025, the group announced plans to invest €2 billion by 2030 to strengthen its global healthcare logistics capabilities, including specialised storage and temperature-controlled transport. The investment is part of its Strategy 2030, which identifies life sciences and healthcare as key growth sectors.
DHL Global Forwarding recently expanded its Health Logistics Cold Chain Network with six dedicated air cargo corridors connecting Europe and North America with key healthcare and pharmaceutical hubs in Asia. The new routes connect Liège and Brussels with Shanghai and Singapore, while Cincinnati is linked with Singapore, Tokyo Narita and Seoul Incheon. The expansion aims to provide pharmaceutical customers with greater routing flexibility, temperature-controlled capacity and more consistent transit times.
DHL Group said the investment would help it respond to growing demand for logistics services supporting pharmaceuticals, medical devices, clinical trials, biopharmaceuticals and advanced therapies. The expanded agreement with Biogen Türkiye adds to DHL Supply Chain Türkiye's range of integrated services for the healthcare sector.
