Oman Air Cargo has created a new senior commercial role with the appointment of Gokul Sudamani as Regional Head of Sales for the Middle East and Gulf, as the airline continues to expand its regional network and footprint.
Based in Dubai, the new role will support the growth of Oman Air Cargo’s regional offerings and strengthen service to the freight forwarding community across the Middle East and Gulf.
Sudamani brings more than 18 years of experience in the air cargo industry, with a focus on high-volume and diverse markets in the region. Commenting on his appointment, he said Oman Air Cargo is building strong momentum and he looks forward to working closely with customers and partners as the airline expands its network and capabilities. He added that the Middle East and Gulf remain vital markets for the business and that he is keen to deliver flexible and reliable solutions for customers.
His appointment follows a series of network and capacity investments by Oman Air Cargo. The airline has recently announced the launch of new routes, including Singapore and Kigali, strengthening its presence across the region.
Michael Duggan, Head of Cargo at Oman Air, said the Middle East acts as a global transit hub while continuing to grow as a destination in its own right. He said the creation of the new role reflects the airline’s commitment to the region as it continues to expand its network and operate as a key hub at both global and regional levels.
