AERION has appointed César Penciolelli to lead global airline partnerships and commercial development, effective 1 October 2026.

AERION is the commercial brand of the holding group behind ECS Group, Global GSA Group, TCE, CargoTech, Mail and More, and HealthC’Air. Bringing together expertise in general sales and service agent (GSSA) services, technology, specialised capabilities and operations, the platform provides airlines with access to the Group’s services across the air cargo value chain.

In his new role, Penciolelli will work across AERION’s businesses and teams, focusing on strengthening relationships with airline partners. He will engage with airlines to understand their priorities and connect them with the relevant expertise and capabilities across the Group.

Adrien Thominet, Chairman of the holding company behind the Group’s businesses and Founder of AERION, said Penciolelli’s experience and understanding of airline partnerships would strengthen the Group’s ability to coordinate its capabilities and align its services with airline partners’ priorities.

Penciolelli is an industrial engineer specialising in supply chain management. He began his career in strategy and operations consulting, holding positions at Strategy&, part of PwC, and EY.

He subsequently joined CEVA Logistics, where he worked within the Group Chief Operating Officer’s team before leading Global Air Procurement & Carrier Management within the company’s Air Product organisation.

Penciolelli said, “Having worked closely with airlines from the buying side, I understand the importance of strong relationships, clear priorities and solutions that respond to real operational needs. AERION brings together a wide range of expertise. My role is to work across these businesses and with our teams to make those capabilities as relevant and accessible as possible to our airline partners.”

He will collaborate with regional and global teams to strengthen coordination and manage key airline partnerships across the Group’s international network.

AERION is the Group’s commercial air cargo brand, bringing together ECS Group, Global GSA Group, TCE, CargoTech and several specialised entities. It provides airlines with an integrated cargo solution by combining the Group’s diverse capabilities into a unified offering. Through a single point of access, AERION connects commercial performance, operational excellence, digital expertise and specialised services across the air cargo value chain.
