Europe’s largest annual cargo and e-commerce event, the EU Cross-Border E-commerce Forum (EU CBEC) 2026, will take place at the Palais de Congres Liege from 8-10 September 2026. Organised by Liege Airport’s CARGOLAND initiative, the event is now three months away and has already recorded more than 1,000 registered attendees for the first time.

According to Liege Airport, the registrations include representatives from more than 300 companies, 60 airlines, over 100 freight forwarders, 15 media organisations and shippers from a range of industries. The event is expected to feature 53 speakers who will discuss developments in e-commerce and air cargo.

“This is already promising to be the biggest EU CBEC forum to date as we have now passed the 1,000-mark in registered attendees for the first time ever,” said Frederic Brun, Head of Commercial Cargo & Logistics at Liege Airport.

The three-day forum will bring together professionals from the cargo, logistics, e-commerce, customs, technology, retail and supply chain sectors. A total of 17 expert panels and presentations will examine issues shaping cross-border e-commerce, including customs, consumer expectations, diversification, artificial intelligence, digitalisation, data, regulations, compliance and international trade.

Discussions will also focus on how freight forwarders can balance efficiency, resilience and growth opportunities in a challenging cargo market, as well as how businesses can adapt to changes in customs regulations, consumer demand and logistics requirements. The role of CARGOLAND as a dedicated cargo gateway and e-commerce specialist will also be highlighted.

The forum will feature exhibition and networking areas designed to connect industry leaders, entrepreneurs, solution providers and decision-makers. Participants will have opportunities to explore new technologies, present their capabilities and develop business partnerships.

This year’s theme, “Freight meets Magic”, will run throughout the event programme, from the opening cocktail reception to the Gala Dinner. The LAB Area will showcase technologies and operational solutions for the e-commerce and air cargo sectors.

Networking activities will be integrated across the event through pre-arranged one-to-one meetings, exhibition interactions and evening events at venues across Liege. Organisers say the forum aims to provide a platform for the global cargo and e-commerce community to connect and discuss the future of e-commerce air logistics.
