The German cargo airline AeroLogic, a 50-50 joint venture owned by Deutsche Post AG and Deutsche Lufthansa AG through their subsidiaries DHL Express and Lufthansa Cargo, has received a new Boeing 777 freighter in DHL livery.

The aircraft, registered as D-AERA (MSN 68148), is AeroLogic’s 27th freighter and is powered by two GE GE90-110B1 engines.

Flightradar24 data shows that the delivery flight took place on September 4, 2025, with the aircraft departing Paine Field (PAE) at 12:03 hrs and arriving at Leipzig Airport (LEJ) at 06:36 hrs on September 5, after a flight time of about 9 hours and 34 minutes.

AeroLogic noted in an Instagram post a few days ago that the aircraft had completed a C1 test flight ahead of its final delivery. The C1, also known as the first customer flight, is a functional check flight carried out with airline representatives onboard.

Notably, in April this year, the carrier took delivery of its 25th Boeing 777 freighter, registered as D-AALY.

The other freighter, the 26th in the fleet, registered as D-AALZ (MSN 68147) and also in DHL livery, was delivered to the carrier in June this year.

The next Boeing 777 freighter set to join AeroLogic’s fleet is registered as D-AERB (MSN 68149) and will be the carrier’s 28th freighter. According to Planespotters.net, AeroLogic now operates 27 Boeing 777 freighters, following the delivery of its newest Boeing 777 freighter, with one more listed as on order/planned.

DHL Aviation currently operates a fleet of 212 aircraft across a variety of freighter types, including the Airbus A300-600F, A321-200F, A330-200F, and A330-300F, along with ATR 42 and ATR 72 turboprops.

The fleet also includes Boeing 737-300F, 737-400F, 737-800F, 747-8F, 757-200F, 767-200F, 767-300F, and 777F models. Planespotters.net data shows that AeroLogic currently operates 14 of DHL’s Boeing 777 freighters.
