Menzies Aviation announced that Philipp Joeinig will step down as Group Chief Executive Officer and Board Member effective July 31. In his place, Ehab Aziz has been appointed Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors, while Hassan El-Houry has been named Chief Executive Officer.

Joeinig joined the Menzies Board in 2017 and became Group CEO in 2020. During his tenure, he helped shape the business and deliver growth through a period of substantial change. The Board thanked him for his dedication and significant contribution to the Group.

Ehab Aziz brings a track record of creating value for stakeholders over more than two and a half decades at Agility. Working alongside leadership teams across different sectors, he has helped build and scale global businesses, leading major acquisitions and a landmark divestiture that together created and unlocked billions of dollars in value. He has brought strategic insight along with operational and financial discipline to Agility's growth into a multi-business owner and operator with $13.2 billion in total assets across six continents. Aziz has served as a Non-Executive Director of Menzies since 2022, helping shape the company's strategy and direction. In his new role as Non-Executive Chairman, he will lead the Board and work closely with the Menzies executive team on strategy, governance and stewardship, with the aim of driving sustainable long-term performance and value creation.

Aziz said Menzies is well positioned for its next phase, with a strong team, a clear strategy and the right foundations to deliver it. He said the Board's focus is on setting a clear long-term direction, holding the business to high standards of governance and performance, and ensuring it has what it needs to invest in its people, customers and markets. He said that as Non-Executive Chairman, he will work closely with Hassan El-Houry and the executive team to build on what has been achieved and create sustainable, long-term value for customers, employees and shareholders.

Hassan El-Houry brings two decades of experience building and scaling global aviation services businesses. Before joining Menzies, he transformed National Aviation Services (NAS) from a single station into the leading aviation services provider across emerging markets. He played a leading role in Agility's acquisition of Menzies in 2022 and its integration with NAS to create what the company describes as the world's largest aviation services company. He has served as Executive Chairman of Menzies since then, shaping strategy and guiding the business through a period of significant growth and record financial performance. El-Houry is also Chairman of the Aviation Services Association (ASA World).

El-Houry said it is a privilege to be appointed CEO of Menzies Aviation, citing an exceptional team, a leading market position and a clear strategy for growth. He said he looks forward to working with Aziz and the Board, along with colleagues, customers and partners across the company's global network, as the company builds on its momentum, invests in its people, strengthens customer partnerships and continues delivering safe, reliable and high-quality aviation services across six continents.

Menzies Aviation said its strategic priorities remain unchanged, with a continued focus on safety, service excellence, operational performance and sustainable long-term growth.
