DHL Global Forwarding, the freight specialist arm of DHL Group, has announced three leadership appointments in Asia Pacific that will take effect on 1 August 2025 following the retirement of Bruno Selmoni, Vice President and Head of Road Freight and Multimodal.

Christopher Lim will become Vice President and Head of Road Freight and Multimodal; Praveen Gregory will take over Lim’s current role as Managing Director for Singapore, Malaysia, and Brunei; and Bjoern Schoon will succeed Gregory as Senior Vice President, Ocean Freight, Asia Pacific.

Bruno Selmoni will retire after almost 50 years with the company. Niki Frank, CEO, DHL Global Forwarding Asia Pacific, said, "Bruno's retirement after almost 50 years of exceptional service marks both the end of an era and the beginning of an exciting new chapter for our region. Christopher, Praveen, and Bjoern each bring a powerful combination of expertise, experience, market insight, and fresh energy to their roles."

Christopher Lim will succeed Bruno Selmoni as Vice President and Head of Road Freight and Multimodal, DHL Global Forwarding Asia Pacific. He is currently Managing Director for Singapore, Malaysia, and Brunei. He joined DHL Group in 2004 as Regional Account Development Manager and has held roles across various markets, including Head of Sales and Marketing for Hong Kong and South China, Managing Director for Malaysia, and later for Singapore, Malaysia, and Brunei since 2020. Lim will continue to be based in Singapore and report to Niki Frank.

With Lim’s move, Praveen Gregory, currently Senior Vice President, Ocean Freight, DHL Global Forwarding Asia Pacific, will become Managing Director for Singapore, Malaysia, and Brunei. Gregory joined DHL in 2008 in Dubai Ocean Freight Operations after working for Maersk.

He relocated to Germany in 2010 for roles in market intelligence & strategy and product development and moved to Hong Kong in 2018 for regional management roles in ocean commercial centre and industrial supply chain account management. In 2022, he was appointed Vice President, Order Management Solutions Asia Pacific, before taking on his current ocean freight leadership in 2023. He will continue to report to Niki Frank and will be based in Singapore.

Bjoern Schoon will replace Praveen Gregory as Senior Vice President, Ocean Freight, DHL Global Forwarding Asia Pacific. Schoon is currently Vice President, Global Business Development for Order Management Solutions and Ocean Contract Management. He has nearly 30 years of experience in ocean freight and supply chains across global markets.

Before joining DHL, he held senior leadership roles at Kuehne+Nagel, including Managing Director for Belgium and Luxembourg in 2023 and Managing Director for Thailand, Cambodia, and Myanmar from 2016 to 2022. He also worked in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and South China in sea logistics, account management, and customer service. Schoon will relocate to Singapore and report directly to Niki Frank, with a dotted line to Casper Ellerbaek, Executive Vice President and Global Head of Ocean Freight, DHL Global Forwarding.

DHL Global Forwarding is part of DHL Group, which generated approximately 84.2 billion euros in revenue in 2024. The Group employs around 400,000 people in more than 220 countries and aims to reach net-zero emissions logistics by 2050.
