India suspends all domestic passenger flights

In view of India’s surging Covid-19 cases, the Civil Aviation Ministry has announced suspension of all scheduled domestic flights, except all-cargo, effective from 11:59pm on March 24, 2020 till 11:59 pm of March 31, 2020.

All-cargo flights, off-shore helicopter operations, medical evacuation fights or flights specifically approved by the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA)-India are exempted from this new order.  All Airports will remain  operational for handling the permitted flight operations.

This order follows after a temporary ban announced on all International scheduled passenger flight for a week from 22 March, 2020.
