Hellmann Worldwide Logistics has opened three new branches in the United States, expanding its network to 12 locations across the country. The new sites in Indianapolis, the Columbus metropolitan area and the San Francisco Bay Area will strengthen its logistics services for the automotive, fashion, technology and other industries.

The expansion is part of Hellmann’s Forward2030 strategy, which focuses on selected industries and markets with high growth potential. The company said the new locations would bring it closer to customers and strengthen its industry-specific logistics services.

The Indianapolis branch is already operational and will serve tier 1 and tier 2 automotive suppliers. It will offer international sea freight, air freight and domestic road transport services. The Columbus office in Ohio will focus on the fashion and retail sectors, while the new location near San Francisco International Airport will serve customers in technology, semiconductors, electronics, cloud infrastructure and renewable energy.

The three branches will support Hellmann’s road, air and sea freight services in key US markets. US business logistics costs reached approximately $2.4 trillion in 2025, accounting for around 7.8% of the country’s gross domestic product (GDP).

The US expansion follows Hellmann’s investment in other specialised logistics facilities. In Dubai, the company has begun construction of a 28,000 sq m automotive logistics hub in Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza), which will handle automotive spare parts and support distribution across the Gulf Cooperation Council region and Africa. The facility is designed to strengthen the company’s automotive logistics capabilities in the Middle East.

“The United States plays a pivotal role in our global growth strategy. By opening new locations in strategically important markets, we are not only expanding our physical presence but also strengthening our ability to support customers with industry expertise and logistics solutions that are closer to where their business is growing,” said Mario Stecher, Managing Director, US, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics.

Peter Hüwel, Regional CEO, Americas, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, said the company’s US Accelerator Programme provided a framework for regional growth by combining its global network with local market knowledge.
