Hellmann Worldwide Logistics has commenced construction of a dedicated automotive logistics hub in Jebel Ali Free Zone, marking a significant step in the company’s strategy to strengthen its automotive logistics capabilities and expand its global network.

The new facility is being developed to support the growing requirements of Hellmann’s automotive customers across the region while providing additional capacity for future expansion. Through this investment in specialised infrastructure, the company aims to deliver more resilient and industry-focused logistics solutions for the Middle East’s automotive sector, which is forecast to grow by approximately 4–6% annually through 2030.

Located in the UAE, a key logistics gateway connecting Europe, Asia, and Africa, the hub will benefit from strong multimodal connectivity and well-established supply chain infrastructure, reinforcing its role in regional and international trade flows.

The built-to-suit facility is being developed by INDU Logistics, part of the INDU Group, and will operate as a dedicated automotive hub within Hellmann’s Middle East network. Covering approximately 28,000 m², the site is designed to handle a wide range of automotive spare parts logistics requirements.

The facility will feature high-density bin storage, pallet racking systems, and dedicated handling areas for oversized and bulky components. Once operational, it will provide scalable capacity to support high-volume distribution across the GCC, Africa, and selected international markets.

Lee I’Ons, Regional CEO IMEA, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, said, “The UAE is a strategically important market within our global network. By establishing this dedicated automotive hub in Jafza, we are systematically expanding our regional capabilities and creating further scalable, industry-focused infrastructure. This enables us to deliver competitive, high-performance logistics solutions for our customers and to support their long-term growth.”

Abdulla Al Hashmi, Global Chief Operating Officer, Parks and Economic Zones, DP World, said, “Hellman’s investment in Jebel Ali Free Zone reflects the rapid pace at which the automotive industry is growing in the Middle East, with customers looking for faster, more reliable access to critical spare parts across multiple markets. By continuing to build specialized infrastructure in Dubai, we are supporting our partners in managing uncertainty and keeping their operations moving.”
