Digital cargo insurance specialist Breeze has partnered with transport management system (TMS) provider Realm Realtime to embed cargo insurance directly into the shipment creation workflow, simplifying insurance procurement for freight forwarders.
Under the partnership, every shipment created on Oppi, Realm Realtime's transport management platform, will automatically generate a cargo insurance quotation from Breeze. Freight forwarders can review the quote and issue a policy instantly with a single click, eliminating the need for separate insurance processes.
The new integration was announced at the Multimodal exhibition at the NEC Birmingham, UK, where Eyal Goldberg, Chief Executive Officer of Breeze, is scheduled to speak on a panel discussion titled "Visibility Isn't Value: How AI Drives Real Results in Multimodal Logistics" on July 1.
The integration is designed to streamline freight operations by making cargo insurance an integral part of the shipment booking process. It also reduces administrative complexity while enabling freight forwarders to secure coverage more quickly and efficiently.
By combining transport management with embedded insurance capabilities, Breeze and Realm Realtime aim to improve the digital freight experience, helping logistics providers manage shipments and cargo protection through a single, integrated platform.
Matthew Phillips, Chief Commercial Officer, Breeze, said, “Cargo insurance has not kept pace with the digital transformation of freight forwarding, and we believe it should be as easy to arrange as creating a shipment. Our partnership with Realm Realtime embeds insurance directly into the freight forwarding workflow, reducing manual administration and making it easier for businesses to insure more shipments. Better data and automation simplify the process, reduce the risk of errors, and help freight forwarders move cargo with greater confidence."
A direct application programming interface (API) integration allows shipment data to be shared automatically between the Breeze and Realm Realtime platforms.
This reduces manual paperwork and administrative tasks while enabling freight forwarders to get cargo insurance at the time a shipment is created. The integration makes the insurance process faster, simpler, and more efficient.
Misty-Anne Booysen, CEO, Realm Realtime said, “The future of freight forwarding lies in connected, intelligent platforms that remove complexity rather than add to it.”
The partnership with Breeze marks another step in Realm Realtime's vision of creating a more integrated freight management platform by embedding cargo insurance directly into the operational workflow. The company said the integration enables customers to access essential insurance services at the point of shipment creation, when they are needed most.
Realm Realtime added that by combining best-in-class technologies through seamless integrations, it aims to help freight forwarders improve operational efficiency, make better-informed decisions and deliver an enhanced customer experience.
The cargo insurance integration is now available to all Realm Realtime users, including those who have not previously purchased cargo insurance through Breeze. The launch forms part of Breeze's broader strategy to modernise cargo insurance by embedding digital insurance services into the software platforms that freight forwarders use in their daily operations.
