OIA Global acquires Cargo Services to expand US Midwest network
OIA Global acquires Cargo Services Inc to strengthen its presence and expand its network in the US Midwest region
OIA Global has acquired Cargo Services (CSI), an international freight forwarding and customs brokerage firm headquartered in Indianapolis, as part of its strategy to expand its owned network in key domestic markets.
Founded in 1992, Cargo Services has more than 30 years of experience in ocean and air freight, customs brokerage and warehousing. The company has built long-standing customer relationships across key manufacturing and industrial sectors.
The acquisition gives OIA Global a direct presence in Indianapolis, a major logistics hub in the United States, and strengthens its position in the Midwest region. The company said CSI’s regional expertise and service model will complement its global operations.
Jeff Barrie, Chief Executive Officer of OIA Global, said Indianapolis is one of the most connected logistics cities in the country and that the Cargo Services team has built trusted relationships with customers over more than three decades. He added that OIA is proud to welcome CSI to its network.
Mabel Rodriguez, Managing Director, Americas at OIA Global, said service is at the core of both companies, adding that Cargo Services’ long-term customer relationships align closely with OIA’s approach.
Cargo Services operates with its “3C culture”, which focuses on being customer-focused, providing creative solutions and being community-driven. These values align with OIA Global’s principles of flexibility, ambition, togetherness and excellence.
Steve Fugate, Director of Cargo Services, said the company was built on taking care of customers, employees and the community, and that OIA Global shares the same philosophy. John Rowe, Managing Director, added that customers will continue working with the same teams, now supported by a broader global network.
OIA Global said the integration will be seamless, with no disruption to operations, and customers can expect the same level of service following the acquisition.
