Worldwide Flight Services has signed a new handling contract with China Cargo Airlines as the carrier resumes all-cargo flights to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. The agreement began with the arrival of the airline’s first scheduled service on 20 November.
Under the contract, WFS is delivering cargo warehouse services for three Boeing 777F flights each week between China and Paris. The company is also providing ramp handling for the aircraft and operating road feeder services linking Paris with regional airports in France and major hubs elsewhere in Europe.
The deal builds on a relationship of more than 25 years between WFS, China Cargo Airlines and its parent company, China Eastern Airlines. The partnership extends across multiple locations, including Arlanda, Bangkok, Barcelona, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, Marseille and Milan.
In addition to the new freighter services, WFS continues to handle cargo carried on China Eastern’s passenger flights in Paris.
Laurent Bernard, Managing Director of France, said the airline’s freighters are a welcome addition to the schedule. “We are extremely proud of our longstanding partnership in France with China Eastern Airlines and China Cargo Airlines. They are both extremely important customers of WFS. We greatly value their confidence in WFS,” he said.
