Changi Airport Group (CAG) and Shenzhen S.F. Taisen Holding (SF) have entered into a five-year Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate on developing Changi Airport as SF’s first overseas hub. The agreement represents a key step in SF’s global expansion strategy while strengthening Changi’s position as a major air cargo gateway.
The partnership reflects SF’s long-term commitment to Singapore and aims to enhance the country’s role as a value-driven air logistics hub. By focusing on high-value cargo and evolving supply chain demands, both parties intend to support growing regional and international trade flows.
Through this collaboration, CAG and SF will tap into the strong growth potential of air trade in the Asia-Pacific region, leveraging Singapore’s strategic location and Changi’s capabilities as a global consolidation and transshipment hub.
As part of the plan, Changi Airport will serve as SF’s primary overseas hub, covering Southeast Asia, South Asia, and Oceania. The initiative will be supported by the continued expansion of SF’s network at Changi, improving connectivity with key markets across these regions.
SF Group is Asia’s largest integrated logistics provider and the fourth largest worldwide. Its air cargo subsidiary, SF Airlines, operates China’s biggest freighter fleet—over 90 aircraft—and currently runs daily cargo services between Singapore and Shenzhen.
Changi Airport hosts major global express operators, including DHL Express, FedEx Express, and UPS. With these companies running regional hubs in Singapore, the airport offers a strong, competitive, and well-connected logistics network, ensuring efficient and dependable movement of goods and documents across the Asia-Pacific and beyond.
Yam Kum Weng, CEO of CAG, said, “We are delighted that SF Group has selected Changi Airport as its first overseas hub, marking an exciting milestone for both organisations. CAG looks forward to supporting SF Group as it expands its air connectivity and logistics capabilities at Changi. This strong partnership brings together the best of both networks and expertise, enabling us to move more high-value and time-critical goods seamlessly across the Asia Pacific region and beyond.”
Whereas Dick Wong, the Chairman, Executive Director, and General Manager of SF Group, said, “Singapore is a key node in SF’s global expansion strategy. Through deeper cooperation with CAG, SF will further optimise its resources across the Southeast Asia, South Asia, and Oceania regions. Building on Singapore’s strong connectivity and partnership ecosystem, we are committed to providing more competitive cross-border logistics solutions to global customers and creating greater value for customers amid a complex and rapidly changing global trade environment.”
