Jettainer names Moritz Kohler COO

Jettainer has appointed Moritz Kohler as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective July 2026, as the company strengthens its global operations and digital transformation strategy.

In his new role, Kohler will lead Jettainer's newly restructured Operations division, overseeing strategic ULD fleet management and the company's worldwide network of ULD Control Desks and repair partners. He will also focus on advancing the digitalisation of operational processes and enhancing service quality for customers.

Kohler brings nearly 18 years of experience in the air cargo industry. Before joining Jettainer, he held several leadership positions at Lufthansa Cargo, where he managed international commercial operations, established new market regions, and led strategic digitalisation initiatives. Most recently, he oversaw the implementation of the IATA ONE Record data standard, supporting the industry's transition toward more efficient and standardised data exchange.

In his new role, Kohler will drive Jettainer's efforts to expand data-driven decision-making, optimise the utilisation and availability of its ULD fleet, and reinforce the resilience of its global operations. He will also focus on improving operational efficiency, enhancing service quality, and delivering more customised ULD management solutions to customers in an increasingly dynamic air cargo market.

Kohler said he is looking forward to leading Jettainer's operations team and further strengthening the company's operational processes through greater use of digitalisation and data-driven decision-making. He added that enhancing the efficiency of Jettainer's ULD services, while maintaining high service quality and delivering long-term value to customers, will remain key priorities in his new role.

Jettainer manages one of the world's largest and most efficient ULD fleets, with more than 100,000 Unit Load Devices (ULDs) deployed across 500 locations worldwide. Leveraging dedicated operational teams, advanced IT systems, big data and artificial intelligence, the company optimises ULD positioning, fleet management, maintenance and repairs to ensure maximum availability of containers and pallets for airline customers.
