Flughafen Wien AG has reported its business results for the first half of 2026, with revenue and net profit increasing compared with the same period last year.

In H1 2026, Flughafen Wien Group reported revenue of €529.3 million, up 0.9% year on year from €524.4 million in H1 2025. EBITDA increased 7.3% to €227.1 million, while EBIT rose 9.1% to €159.4 million. Group net profit before non-controlling interests also grew 7.0% to €123.2 million.

The improvement in earnings was primarily driven by lower operating expenses. However, cash flow from operating activities declined to €147 million, compared with €157.1 million a year earlier, mainly due to higher income tax payments and a reduction in liabilities and provisions.

From January to June 2026, Vienna Airport recorded 107,709 flight movements, representing a 4.6% increase year on year. The average seat load factor rose by 1.7 percentage points to 79.3% during the period.

Meanwhile, cargo volumes, including air freight and trucking, edged up 0.2% to 154,276 tonnes. Medical cargo recorded stronger growth, increasing 22.4% to 2,497 tonnes, highlighting rising demand for healthcare-related shipments through the airport.
