Etihad Cargo has launched new freighter services from Phnom Penh, Cambodia, in partnership with Teleport to expand its Southeast Asia network. The service, starting in winter 2025, will operate two weekly Airbus A321F flights from Techo International Airport (KTI) to Abu Dhabi, adding 50 tonnes of weekly cargo capacity. The agreement was signed on November 3, 2025, at Air Cargo Southeast Asia in Singapore.

The new deployment connects Cambodia to Etihad Cargo’s global network, offering main deck capacity in the Middle East, Europe and the Americas. It follows Etihad Airways’ recent launch of passenger services to Phnom Penh using the A321LR aircraft, which has recorded strong cargo demand since introduction.

Etihad Cargo said the additional capacity will support Cambodia’s growing exports of garments, electronics, perishables, and pharmaceuticals while providing importers with improved access to regional and global markets in Abu Dhabi.

Stanislas Brun, Chief Cargo Officer at Etihad Airways, said, “The launch of dedicated freighter deployments from Phnom Penh further strengthens Etihad Cargo’s presence in Southeast Asia and demonstrates our commitment to supporting the region’s dynamic trade flows. In partnership with Teleport, this new route provides much-needed additional capacity, connecting Cambodia’s exporters to key global markets and enhancing connectivity across our expanding network.”

Teleport Chief Business Officer Jan Philipp Pöter said, “Our long-standing partnership with Etihad Cargo has grown significantly from our interline cooperation in 2022 to deploying our freighters between Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) and Kuala Lumpur (KUL) in 2024 and extending services to Phuket (HKT) in 2025. Today, we are expanding these freighter programmes further across Southeast Asia, a testament to the combined agility of our partnership, enabling us to launch new routes faster and effectively respond to market needs.”

The new service expands Etihad Cargo’s dedicated freighter network and complements its passenger bellyhold capacity. The carrier said the Phnom Penh deployment will enhance its ability to offer reliable, flexible solutions while improving access for customers across Asia and beyond.
