ECS Group has strengthened its leadership in Asia with the appointment of Girish Kunder as Regional Manager for the Indian Subcontinent, a move aimed at accelerating growth in one of the world’s most dynamic air cargo markets. The group sees the region as a major engine of expansion, driven by rising e-commerce, pharmaceuticals and digitalisation.
The company operates 32 subsidiaries across 14 Asian countries, supporting more than 50 airline partners through commercial expertise, digital innovation and operational capability. The appointment reflects ECS Group’s strategy to combine its global scale with deeper local insight in high-potential markets.
Girish Kunder described the role as both a milestone and a mission, noting the Subcontinent’s strong growth momentum. He said his focus is to position ECS Group as the preferred GSSA partner for airlines in the region by offering data-driven solutions that support performance, profitability and long-term value for customers.
In his new position, he will oversee operations in India and neighbouring markets through Globe Air Cargo and AVS. His priorities include strengthening partnerships with airlines, expanding market presence and advancing digital transformation to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction. Supported by Aerion’s global ecosystem, including CargoTech, Healthc’Air, Mail&More and Squair, he aims to raise the region’s digital and operational standards.
ECS Group CEO Jean Ceccaldi said the appointment supports the company’s long-term vision of building local excellence backed by global capabilities. He emphasised the importance of India and the wider Subcontinent for airline partners and expressed confidence that Girish’s leadership, market expertise and customer focus will help scale the group’s presence across key sectors such as pharma, e-commerce and digital logistics.
