Delta Cargo has expanded its global pharmaceutical logistics network with the addition of Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) and Malta International Airport (MLA), strengthening its capabilities for the secure and compliant transportation of temperature-sensitive healthcare products.

The two airports will enhance Delta Cargo’s access to key pharmaceutical markets and support the movement of time- and temperature-sensitive shipments across international trade lanes.

Hong Kong will serve as an important gateway for pharmaceutical shipments moving across Asia and beyond, while Malta’s position as a major pharmaceutical manufacturing and export centre will strengthen Delta Cargo’s connectivity to European healthcare markets.

The additions are expected to expand Delta Cargo’s specialised pharmaceutical logistics offering, providing customers with greater access to temperature-controlled transportation solutions and supporting the growing global healthcare supply chain.

Delta Cargo’s expanded pharmaceutical offering includes four temperature-controlled product options. Pharma 1 (CON) provides active containers, while Pharma 2 (MEC) supports shipments requiring temperatures between +2°C and +8°C. Pharma 3 (CHP) caters to products requiring a broader temperature range of +2°C to +25°C, while Pharma 4 (RMT) is designed for shipments maintained between +15°C and +25°C.

With the addition of Hong Kong and Malta, Delta Cargo’s global pharmaceutical network has expanded to 55 audited stations worldwide. Hong Kong is certified under both Good Distribution Practice (GDP) and IATA CEIV Pharma standards, while Malta operates in compliance with GDP requirements.

The expansion strengthens Delta Cargo’s focus on quality, regulatory compliance and reliability in the transportation of pharmaceutical and other temperature-sensitive healthcare products.

Through its global network and specialised temperature-controlled solutions, Delta Cargo aims to provide customers with secure and reliable transportation for critical healthcare shipments.
