Supervisory Board praises his aviation and cargo expertise as he prepares to lead MST’s next development phase.;
Cor de Man has been confirmed as the new Chief Executive Officer of Maastricht Aachen Airport (MST), effective 1 February 2026. His role will cover N.V. Holding B.V. Luchthaven Maastricht, the holding company for the airport, as well as Maastricht Aachen Airport Beheer & Infra.
He succeeds Jan Eerkens, who has served as MST’s interim CEO since 1 November 2025.
De Man has previously held senior executive and board roles at Turkish Airlines Cargo, UTi Worldwide/DSV and Broekman Logistics. NV HBLM’s Supervisory Board said it was impressed by his international experience in aviation and logistics, and his expertise in cargo, strategy, and organisational development.
“Cor de Man is an experienced executive with a strong commercial profile and in-depth knowledge of both passenger and cargo operations,” said Frans Weekers, Chair of the Supervisory Board of NV HBLM. He said De Man would work closely with the management team to strengthen operations, drive sustainable growth, and position MST as an environmentally conscious regional airport with international significance for both passengers and cargo. “He brings proven international experience, strategic acumen, and an extensive network in aviation – we have full confidence that he will lead MST with energy and vision into the next phase of its development.”
His appointment is supported by NV HBLM’s shareholders and works council.
“The coming years are crucial for the further development of Maastricht Aachen Airport – the foundation has been laid, cargo is showing an upward trend, and the team is focused on the right priorities,” said De Man. “Together with the team, I am eager to take the next steps – Maastricht Aachen Airport has great potential for both passengers and cargo, and I look forward to working with employees, shareholders, and partners to build a future-proof, financially healthy, and sustainably operating airport.”
Jan Eerkens will continue to support the transition on an advisory basis through Schiphol Group. “We are grateful for Jan’s contribution during the interim period,” said Weekers.
