ASL Aviation acquires two Boeing 747-400ERF freighters

ASL Aviation Holdings has acquired two Boeing 747-400ERF freighter aircraft that were previously operated within the ASL Group fleet under lease agreements.

The aircraft, MSN 33516 (OE-IFB) and MSN 33945 (OE-IFD), are operated by ASL Airlines Belgium. The acquisition was completed on 7 August 2026, with ownership of both aircraft transferred to ASL Aviation Holdings.

The two freighters are established members of ASL’s long-haul fleet and will continue to support the group’s global air cargo operations. The acquisition strengthens ASL’s owned aircraft portfolio and reflects its continued investment in its long-haul freighter business.

The transaction forms part of ASL Aviation Holdings’ broader fleet and asset strategy, supporting the expansion of its international air cargo platform and its ability to meet the long-term requirements of its airline operations and customers.

ASL Aviation Holdings is a global aviation services group operating eight airlines across Europe, South Africa, Asia and Australia. The company specialises in ACMI operations as well as scheduled and charter cargo and passenger services. The group operates a fleet of around 150 aircraft spanning seven aircraft types, from ATR 72 turboprops to Boeing 747 freighters.
