Global supply chain solutions provider AIT Worldwide Logistics has opened its first office in Jakarta, Indonesia, marking the eighth country in its Asia network as the company expands to meet growing demand for logistics expertise in Southeast Asia.

The Jakarta facility will collaborate with AIT’s worldwide network to deliver customised sea, air and road freight solutions for clients, with a focus on industrial, technology and telecommunications sectors. The office provides full freight forwarding services, prioritising air and ocean imports and exports, while offering value-added services such as local island delivery, customs clearance, and white glove handling.

“Jakarta is a pivotal market for us as we continue our expansion in Asia,” said AIT Chief Strategy Officer Greg Weigel. “By establishing our presence in Indonesia, we enhance our ability to provide high-quality, localised services that meet the needs of our customers.”

The Jakarta office is overseen by Tony Tong, Vice President of Operations, Asia Pacific, who reports to Senior Vice President Wilson Lee. Lee highlighted that AIT’s services are tailored to Indonesia’s key industries, including petroleum, natural gas, textiles, and mining, and are supported by experienced local staff and global expertise.

Strategically located near two international airports and Jakarta Bay, the new facility is certified gold by Indonesia’s Green Building Council and joins more than 150 AIT locations worldwide.
