Freightos, a vendor-neutral global freight pricing, booking and procurement platform, has partnered with Korean Air to expand digital air cargo booking capabilities, enabling freight forwarders to access the carrier's real-time rates, live capacity and direct eBooking services through the Freightos platform.

The agreement was signed at Korean Air's Shanghai office and officially announced during the Air Cargo Shanghai 2026 event week, marking a significant step in the airline's digital transformation strategy.

Through the integration, freight forwarders will gain seamless access to Korean Air's cargo services across key global trade lanes via Freightos, allowing them to view real-time pricing, check available capacity, and complete bookings on a single digital platform.

The partnership introduces an additional digital distribution channel that complements Korean Air's existing cargo booking infrastructure. Under its multi-channel digital strategy, the airline has selected Freightos as its exclusive launch partner for third-party platform distribution.

By expanding the visibility of its live capacity and dynamic pricing through Freightos' global digital marketplace, Korean Air aims to improve booking efficiency, enhance customer access and strengthen connectivity with freight forwarders worldwide.

The integration reflects the continued digitalisation of the air cargo sector, with airlines increasingly adopting online booking platforms to simplify procurement and improve operational efficiency. It connects Korean Air's extensive global cargo network directly with freight forwarders through the Freightos platform, providing digital access to the airline's services across major international markets.

Pablo Pinillos, CEO of Freightos, said, “We are thrilled to welcome Korean Air onto the Freightos network. Providing forwarders with direct, instant access to real-time capacity and eBooking is exactly how we drive greater efficiency and resilience across the global supply chain.”

“By expanding our digital reach through Freightos, we are not simply establishing digital channels but actively delivering a seamless, high-value digital customer experience to our existing forwarders”, said Jae Dong Eum, EVP and head of the cargo business division at Korean Air.

The rollout initially covers key air cargo gateways in North America and Europe, enabling forwarders in these regions to instantly search schedules, obtain real-time quotations, and book shipments online. They will also gain access to Korean Air's cargo capacity across its fleet of 166 aircraft, including 23 dedicated freighters.

Freightos users in the activated markets will be able to view and book Korean Air's available cargo capacity directly from their dashboards, streamlining the booking process and improving access to the carrier's global network.

The phased deployment is expected to enhance digital connectivity between the airline and freight forwarders while supporting faster, more transparent and efficient cargo procurement across major trade lanes.
