Rolls-Royce wins order from Turkish to fit Trent XWB engines in 25 A350-900

March 12, 2018: Rolls-Royce recently won an order from Turkish Airlines to fit Trent XWB engines in 25 Airbus A350-900 aircraft, which will be covered by its flagship TotalCare service support.

Turkish Airlines also has options to additionally power five Airbus A350-900 aircraft with Trent XWB engines.

Currently, Trent XWB is most efficient large civil aero engine, and the fastest selling widebody jet engine, with over 1,700 orders from 45 customers, globally.

?lker Ayc?, board chairman and the executive committee, Turkish Airlines said: “It’s a significant development in our plans for future growth, and we look forward to adding these latest Rolls-Royce powered aircraft to our ever-expanding fleet. We have previous experience of operating Rolls-Royce engines, and know benefits of both the technology and TotalCare service support.”

Turkish Airlines currently operates 27 Trent 700 powered A330 aircraft and one Trent 500 powered A340.

The Trent XWB first entered service in January 2015, and has till date delivered the best entry into service performance of any widebody engine.
