February 5, 2018: As the official logistics partner of the German Paralympic team, DB SCHENKERsportsevents, the sports and events logistics arm of Schenker Deutschland AG will be transporting bags, clothes and sports gear for the PyeongChang Olympics 2018. The sporting event will be held in South Korea on February 9.
According to the company, DB SCHENKERsportsevents will be handling transportation of about 48 TEUs by sea, while 27 metric tonnes will be moved by air. It includes, 390 travel clothing bags of athletes, various sports gears, little pucks and long racing skis, training and competition material for certain sporting associations, office stationeries, physiotherapeutic medical equipment, and first-aid kits.
As an official logistics partner of the International Paralympic Committee, DB SCHENKERsportsevents is will also handle the sport logistics for the XXIII Olympic Winter Games, which will place between February 9 and 25 in the South Korean town of PyeongChang.
