January 27, 2018: Canada-based Cargojet has recently announced to launch its scheduled freighter service between Canada and South America, besides a second frequency between Canada and Europe from February 2.

Cargojet is a leading provider of time-sensitive overnight air cargo services and carries over 1,300,000 pounds of cargo every night. It operates across North America, utilising a fleet of all-cargo aircraft.

Cargojet is expected to begin operating its own scheduled B767-300F freighter aircraft twice every week on routes, including Hamilton, ON to/from Bogota, Colombia and Lima, Peru via Altanta, Georgia.

“Cargojet will be offering a premium air cargo service directly to global freight forwarders, interline airline partners and other users of international air cargo services,” said Ajay Virmani, CEO of Cargojet.

“Our recent presence in these markets has led to increase in demand for our services, and has helped us to optimise our overall freighter aircraft utilisation and expand our range of services and customer base,” said Virmani.
