DHL Express appoints new commercial lead for Asia Pacific
Herbert Vongpusanachai currently serves as Managing Director for DHL Express Thailand and Indochina.

DHL Express has appointed Herbert Vongpusanachai as Senior Vice President, Commercial for Asia Pacific, effective April 1, 2026. He will be based in Singapore in his new role.
Vongpusanachai currently serves as Managing Director for DHL Express Thailand and Indochina. He has more than two decades of experience within DHL Express, having joined the company in 2003. He has held leadership roles across Thailand and Indochina, Singapore, and Hong Kong and Macau. Since returning to lead Thailand and Indochina in 2020, he has overseen year-on-year growth and repositioned the cluster within the region’s network.
“Herbert has an exceptional track record of delivering strong business results while nurturing highly engaged teams across diverse markets. His deep understanding of our customers, collaborative leadership style, and ability to unearth opportunities in complex environments make him the ideal leader to drive our commercial agenda for Asia Pacific. I am confident that under his guidance, we will continue to accelerate sustainable growth across the region,” said Ken Lee, CEO for Asia Pacific, DHL Express.
In his new role, Vongpusanachai will lead commercial strategy across Asia Pacific. He will work with internal functions to assess sectors, routes and trade lanes with growth potential. His mandate includes strengthening customer engagement, supporting customer expansion, driving volume growth, and advancing the use of technology in commercial operations across markets.
“With the newly introduced Heavyweight Express solution, which enables customers to ship heavyweight shipments with speed, certainty and reliability, I look forward to working alongside our talented teams to contribute to shaping the next chapter of DHL Express's commercial success,” said Vongpusanachai.
The company cited findings from the DHL Global Connectedness Report, which indicate that Asia Pacific continues to play a central role in global trade. The report notes rising levels of connectedness among several economies and identifies Southeast Asia as a growing trade corridor. DHL Group’s strategy includes supporting 20 markets globally to drive growth, with eight of these located in Asia Pacific.
The appointment comes as trade flows continue to shift and intra-Asia integration increases. DHL Express said the move strengthens its commercial structure in the region and aligns with its broader network strategy.
DHL Express operates under DHL Group, which reported revenues of approximately €82.9 billion in 2025. The group employs around 389,000 people across more than 220 countries and territories and has set a target to achieve net-zero emissions logistics by 2050.
