LX Pantos, one of South Korea’s largest logistics providers, has appointed David Bang as Chief Executive Officer for its Americas operations, a strategic move aimed at accelerating the company’s global growth trajectory. Announced on July 31, the appointment places a seasoned industry veteran at the helm of a region identified as a core growth engine for the company.

David Bang brings with him over 30 years of logistics experience, including leadership roles at DHL and Hellmann Worldwide Logistics. He is widely recognized for his tenure as CEO of LifeConEx, a joint venture between DHL and Lufthansa Cargo, where he was instrumental in establishing DHL’s dominance in pharmaceutical cold chain logistics. More recently, Bang served as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at JAS Worldwide, overseeing global sales and marketing in more than 50 countries.

In his new role, Bang will be based in the U.S. and lead LX Pantos’s operations across key markets in the Americas, including Mexico, Brazil, Panama, Chile, Colombia, and Argentina. His mandate includes expanding market share, acquiring new clients, and strengthening operational capabilities in the world’s largest logistics economy.

This leadership appointment aligns with LX Pantos’s broader strategic expansion across the Americas. The company recently formed Boxlinks LLC., a joint venture with Ocean Network Express (ONE), to provide intermodal transportation services in the U.S. It also acquired a massive logistics center in Georgia, spanning an area equivalent to 43 soccer fields, further anchoring its presence in the southeastern U.S.

Commenting on the development, LX Pantos CEO Lee Yong-ho said, “David Bang’s extensive expertise and proven leadership in the logistics industry will be a pivotal catalyst in propelling LX Pantos toward becoming a top-tier global logistics provider.”0

Additionally, to enhance its air cargo operations, LX Pantos has appointed Kim Young-sang, formerly of Korean Air, as Executive Vice President and Head of the Air Cargo Division. Kim’s 29-year experience spans global and domestic sales, air cargo charter operations, and specialized markets such as semiconductors and biopharma, making him a valuable addition to the leadership team.
