Freightos, the vendor-neutral global freight booking and payment platform, has strengthened its board of directors with two strategic leadership appointments. The company announced on August 4 that logistics veteran Udo Lange has been named Non-Executive Chairman, while Rotem Hershko has joined the board as a Director. Both appointments took effect on July 28, 2025.
Lange, who joined the Freightos board in 2019, brings more than three decades of logistics leadership experience. Currently serving as CEO of Oslo-listed Stolt-Nielsen, he has previously held senior roles at FedEx, including President of Healthcare, Logistics, and Americas International. Lange also served on the FedEx Senior Management Committee and advised the White House Supply Chain Disruption Task Force during the pandemic.
“I am honored to have been elected as Non-Executive Chairman,” said Lange. “Together with Zvi [Schreiber] and the Freightos team, I look forward to guiding the company through its next chapter in end-to-end global freight digitization.”
The appointment comes as Freightos continues to expand its platform capabilities. The company’s recent acquisition of logistics procurement platform Shipsta and the launch of Freightos Enterprise further cement its position as a key innovator in digital freight and logistics solutions.
Joining Lange on the board is Rotem Hershko, whose career spans high-impact leadership roles at Amazon and A.P. Moller–Maersk. At Amazon, Hershko served as Director of Product, managing multibillion-dollar P&Ls for global e-commerce operations. Later, as Chief Product Officer at Maersk, he led the company’s digital transformation and scaled a digital product organization across the logistics giant. He is currently a Senior Advisor at McKinsey & Company.
“Rotem’s blend of platform and logistics experience adds a unique and timely perspective,” said Freightos CEO Zvi Schreiber. “Combined with Udo’s elevation to Chairman, these appointments position us strongly as we scale globally.”
Hershko echoed the sentiment, stating, “I’m excited to support Freightos’ mission to build a neutral digital platform that connects the entire global trade value chain.”
