At the air cargo China and transport logistic China exhibition and conference in Shanghai STAT Media Group organised a panel discussion on the topic "Airborne commerce: navigating the eCommerce revolution in air cargo". The panel, moderated by Reji John, Editor, STAT Media Group, had speakers that included Coco Sun, Group VP eCommerce Logistics, Gotofreight; Mark Drusch, Chief Officer Cargo, Qatar Airways; Kerry Davis, Head of eCommerce, Teleport and Thomas Yu, Senior Director Global Hub Operations, Cainiao.

The panel discussed key trends in ecommerce logistics. What is the share of cargo volume from cross-border ecommerce channels? It was 10% of the total air cargo volume in the pst but by 2022 it jumped to 20% and according to IATA it will be around 25% by 2027.

The panel thinks that air cargo will certainly play a very critical and increasingly important role in the movement of cargo originating from ecommerce channels.

What does that demand from air cargo industry stakeholders? How do they build their capabilities to handle such rapid increase in cargo volumes originating from ecommerce channels from around the world? How does technology enable movement of cargo with security, speed, efficiency and transparency?

These are questions that you will find some answers for from the air cargo and logistics professionals who share their insights in this panel.
