time:matters, a global specialist in time-critical logistics, has announced the expansion of its Southeast Asian operations with the opening of two new offices in Penang, Malaysia, and Bangkok, Thailand. The move marks a significant step in the company’s growth strategy in Asia Pacific, targeting two of the region’s most prominent industrial and innovation hubs.

In Malaysia, time:matters has launched operations with a multilingual team of logistics experts based in Penang. The office is led by General Manager Simon Ting Seng Kong, a veteran in the Malaysian logistics industry with over 25 years of experience. His appointment, effective 1 May, underscores the company’s commitment to building strong, local expertise to support its services across the region.

Meanwhile, in Thailand, Sebastian May has been appointed as General Manager effective 1 June. Previously part of the time:matters management team in the Asia Pacific region, May brings deep regional experience and strategic insight to his new role. He will focus on executing the company’s ambitious growth plans and further strengthening its presence across Asia.

Both offices will offer the full suite of time:matters’ high-performance transport and supply chain solutions. These services are tailored for industries such as high-tech, semiconductors, automotive, and advanced manufacturing—sectors where reliability, speed, and flexibility are crucial.

“Malaysia and Thailand are industrial powerhouses and strategic nodes in global trade,” said Jon Norvald Haugen, Managing Director Asia Pacific at time:matters. “Our new offices enhance our ability to serve customers across all trade lanes with greater speed, flexibility, and resilience.”

Bernhard zur Strassen, CEO of time:matters, highlighted the significance of this expansion in light of global supply chain challenges: “Companies are increasingly looking to de-risk and diversify. Southeast Asia is becoming a major focus, and we are investing accordingly.”

With connections to major airlines and courier terminals in cities like Shanghai, Frankfurt, and Munich, time:matters offers seamless, end-to-end logistics—from Next Flight Out and On Board Courier services to Charter and Door-to-Door solutions. The new offices in Penang and Bangkok are now fully operational, backed by the company’s robust digital booking platform and local expertise to meet time-critical demands.
