Singapore Changi Airport registered 516,000 tonnes of airfreight throughput in the second quarter of 2025, marking a 6.2 per cent increase compared to the same period last year. Imports led the growth in cargo flows, rising by 8 per cent year-on-year despite global trade uncertainties.

In June 2025, Changi handled 173,000 tonnes of cargo, marking a 9.8 per cent increase compared to the 157,000 tonnes recorded in June 2024. When compared to pre-pandemic levels, Changi’s June 2025 cargo volumes were 6.7 per cent higher than the 162,000 tonnes moved in June 2019.

The strong performance in June contributed to Changi’s overall quarterly growth in airfreight throughput, supported by steady demand across key markets and a rise in imports.

For the quarter, Changi’s top five air cargo markets were China, the United States, Hong Kong, Australia and India. The airport recorded growth across all cargo segments during this period.
