From pandemic hero to collapse: The fall of European Cargo

A pandemic hero that helped move critical medical supplies during COVID-19 has ceased operations.

European Cargo grew rapidly with its fleet of Airbus A340 freighters, but rising fuel costs, mounting losses, and an increasingly challenging market proved too much to overcome.

Today, seven of its A340 aircraft remain parked as the airline's future is decided by administrators.
