CEVA Logistics pilots autonomous vehicles at Singapore Blue Hub

CEVA Logistics has launched a pioneer pilot program deploying next-generation autonomous vehicles within its Singapore operations, marking a major step forward in its contract logistics automation and decarbonization strategy. By deploying two fully electric Z10 autonomous vehicles developed by Zelostech, the trial at the company's flagship Blue Hub facility focuses on optimizing complex intra-hub inventory movements across multi-level facility infrastructure.

The electric Z10 units are engineered to autonomously transport inventory, including heavy pallets, storage totes, and mixed warehouse items, across different floors by utilizing the facility's existing multi-tier ramp network. By automating internal transfers between levels, CEVA Logistics aims to enhance overall operational agility, optimize space utilization across staging areas, and schedule inventory movements dynamically according to real-time customer demand. In addition to operational productivity gains, initial performance models project that replacing conventional internal transport with these zero-emission electric vehicles will reduce carbon dioxide emissions by at least 4,600 kilograms every year.

This forward-looking project stems directly from the 2025 CMA CGM Startup Awards, an international innovation competition co-organized by ZEBOX, the corporate startup accelerator of CEVA’s parent company, the CMA CGM Group. Having won top honors at the event, Zelostech received dedicated funding to build a proof of concept in partnership with CMA CGM. This successful validation established the groundwork for direct collaboration with CEVA Logistics, turning promising supply chain technology into practical warehouse execution.

CEVA’s Singapore Blue Hub serves as a premier testing ground for high-density, multi-story logistics automation. Spanning eight stories and 50,000 square meters, the multi-tier facility manages contract logistics operations for demanding market sectors including luxury, beauty, retail, and healthcare. Recognized as Asia’s first BiodiverCity-labeled building and certified LEED Gold, the hub already incorporates advanced automation systems such as Goods-to-Person technology, automated guided vehicles, and specialized robotics. The introduction of ramp-navigating autonomous vehicles extends this sophisticated digital ecosystem.

Operational insights gathered during the trial in Singapore will guide the potential rollout of autonomous mobility solutions across CEVA’s global facility network.
