South Asia’s premier express air and integrated transportation and distribution company, Blue Dart Express Limited, has officially announced the launch of International Parcel Connect, a dedicated B2C cross-border parcel shipping service. Unveiled in Mumbai on 26 October 2026, the new logistics solution is explicitly designed to empower India’s rapidly growing global e-commerce aspirations. Initially rolling out for eligible shipments travelling from India to the United States, the service targets e-commerce businesses, direct-to-consumer (D2C) brands, marketplace sellers, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and growing exporters who are seeking dependable access to overseas consumers.
The introduction of International Parcel Connect is strategically positioned to offer businesses a highly viable middle ground. Historically, sellers looking to export have had to choose between premium-priced express services or lower-cost, but often slower and less transparent, postal options. Powered by DHL eCommerce, this new service successfully combines Blue Dart’s extensive domestic capabilities and dedicated customer support infrastructure within India with a well-established international parcel network. Consequently, customers can benefit from both Standard and Expedited delivery options, alongside comprehensive shipment visibility throughout the journey.
Balfour Manuel, Managing Director of Blue Dart, highlighted the customer-driven nature of the new launch. “For years, our customers have asked us to extend Blue Dart’s trusted service to their international shipping needs. International Parcel Connect answers that call with a world-class solution, combining our operational strengths in India with the reach of our international network. As Indian enterprises pursue opportunities beyond domestic markets, we are committed to providing the dependable logistics connections that turn their global aspirations into growth,” he stated.
The cross-border logistics service supports eligible B2C parcels weighing anywhere from 50 grammes up to 11 kilogrammes. It caters to a wide array of retail categories that are highly popular in the export market, including apparel and fashion products, automobile spare parts, books, handicrafts, imitation jewellery, and rugs, alongside various other eligible marketplace and e-commerce goods. Naturally, all shipments remain strictly subject to applicable customs, regulatory, commodity, weight, and dimensional requirements.
Addressing the massive potential of the market, Dipanjan Banerjee, Chief Commercial Officer at Blue Dart, noted the sheer financial scale of the sector. “India’s B2C e-commerce exports are currently estimated at around $2 billion, reflecting the opportunity for Indian businesses to reach overseas customers. For many sellers, the choice has been between premium-priced express delivery and lower-cost postal shipping. International Parcel Connect bridges this gap, allowing customers to choose between two delivery speeds to suit their needs. Shipment visibility and Blue Dart customer support in India provide greater control and a local point of contact, making cross-border shipping more accessible and easier to manage,” he explained.
While the service is currently initiating its operations with shipments to the United States, Blue Dart has already outlined ambitious plans to progressively extend International Parcel Connect to other relevant international markets. These planned future destinations include the United Kingdom, countries within the European Union, Canada, and Australia, all chosen to further support Indian businesses’ global e-commerce aspirations.
This latest offering underscores Blue Dart’s position as a provider of choice. As part of DHL Group’s DHL eCommerce division, Blue Dart accesses an expansive logistics network covering over 220 countries and territories. Domestically, the company offers secure and reliable delivery to over 56,400 locations across India.
