FedEx launches Global Trade Navigator for shippers
FedEx launches Global Trade Navigator to help businesses simplify international shipping, manage customs requirements and improve trade visibility.
FedEx has launched Global Trade Navigator, a suite of digital tools aimed at helping businesses navigate international shipping, customs requirements and trade-related complexities.
The new capabilities provide businesses with information and insights to better understand international shipping requirements, improve shipment data and address customs-related issues before they affect clearance.
FedEx said businesses of all sizes face challenges when shipping internationally, including understanding duties and taxes, meeting customs requirements and managing shipment documentation.
According to the 2026 FedEx Small Business Trade Index, 68% of small and medium-sized businesses regularly see customers surprised by duties at delivery, while 60% report losing revenue through refunds or abandoned purchases.
Global Trade Navigator is designed to bring trade intelligence earlier into the shipping process, helping businesses make informed decisions and resolve potential issues across shipment planning, preparation, checkout, and reporting.
FedEx said the tools are intended to reduce the complexity of international shipping and help businesses address customs requirements before they become clearance problems.
Jason Brenner, senior vice president, digital portfolio, FedEx, said, “Building on decades of global trade expertise, Global Trade Navigator makes critical trade information and guidance more accessible to businesses as they grow internationally. The result is fewer surprises and a more predictable experience for businesses and consumers.”
These digital tools cater to a wide range of customers, from SMEs venturing into international shipping for the first time to large enterprises integrating trade data into established workflows such as planning before shipping, improving shipment data, increasing cost transparency at checkout, integrating trade insights, and managing clearance and reporting.
The new capabilities are part of FedEx’s ongoing investment in a more connected and intelligent international shipping experience, helping businesses manage trade complexities and expand into global markets with greater confidence.
