SolitAir, the UAE’s dedicated B2B cargo airline based at Dubai World Central (DWC), has expanded its network to nearly 30 routes across the Global South as it celebrates its first year of operations. The airline, which launched its inaugural scheduled flight to Riyadh one year ago, is now working towards connecting 50 cities in its first phase of growth.

SolitAir was founded with a mission to serve underserved and high-growth cargo corridors. In just twelve months, it has built a logistics network that links the Middle East, Asia and Africa, providing scheduled, charter and bespoke cargo services. Its growing portfolio covers cities such as Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Istanbul, Baghdad, Hong Kong, Urumqi, Kuwait, Bahrain, Beirut, Erbil, Dhaka, Karachi and Lahore.

The airline has also strengthened access across Africa, launching services to Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar, Eldoret, Nairobi, Benghazi, Johannesburg, Lusaka and Harare. These routes are designed to support trade flows and boost regional connectivity within the Global South.

“Our journey over the past year has exceeded expectations,” said Hamdi Osman, Founder & CEO of SolitAir. “In just 12 months, we’ve become a crucial logistics link for regional supply chains, and our rapid network and fleet expansion demonstrate our commitment to this mission. SolitAir’s momentum is a testament to the dedication of our team and the trust placed in us by our partners and clients.”

The airline’s rapid expansion is supported by the addition of two Boeing 737-800 freighters, bringing its operational fleet to seven aircraft this month. SolitAir aims to grow to 20 freighters by 2027, enabling it to expand to over 50 destinations.

The carrier operates from its 220,000-square-foot logistics hub at DWC, offering reliable, efficient and safe transport of specialised cargo such as pharmaceuticals, e-commerce shipments and hazardous materials.

As it enters its second year, SolitAir plans to deepen its presence across Africa, South Asia and Central Asia, positioning itself as a key air cargo enabler between emerging economies.
