Geodis appoints Amaury Valicon as Executive VP for Europe
Effective November 1, Amaury Valicon becomes EVP Europe, while Marc Meier and Maurizio Bortolan start Oct 1.;
Marie-Christine Lombard, CEO of Geodis, a transport and logistics company, on 17 September, announced the appointment of Amaury Valicon as the new Executive Vice President (EVP) for Europe effective November 1st. He succeeds Thomas Kraus in this role.
Since joining Geodis in 2017, Amaury Valicon has held key positions as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operations Officer. He will continue to report directly to Marie-Christine Lombard and remain a member of the company's Executive Committee (COMEX).
According to a press release, the related appointments aimed at strengthening regional management, Marc Meier will join Geodis on October 1st as the new Managing Director for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
Meier brings over 30 years of extensive international experience from leading logistics companies, including DACHSER, Senator International, Fr. Meyer’s Sohn, and Kühne+Nagel.
Also effective 1 October, Maurizio Bortolan will take on the role of Managing Director for Italy. Bortolan's extensive background includes executive roles at prominent logistics and shipping firms such as BRT (Geopost), MAERSK, and Number 1.
