Liège Airport has signed a 15-year partnership with i6 Group to digitise Into-Plane and Tank Farm Management solutions at the Belgian cargo hub. The agreement will see i6 deploy its integrated aviation fuel management technology to streamline operations, enhance compliance, and support sustainability goals at one of Europe’s busiest air freight airports.

Under the deal, i6’s platform will provide real-time operational intelligence for stakeholders, including airlines, cargo operators, and fuel suppliers. The solution will cover the full fuelling lifecycle, from livestock management and automated reconciliation to paperless into-plane fuelling, live resource tracking, and auditable data for every event—delivering 24/7 operational visibility and supporting Liege Airport’s ambitions for sustainable, data-driven growth.

“Liege is a linchpin in the global air cargo network, and our partnership with i6 Group will help us set new standards for operational transparency, efficiency, and sustainability,” said Christian Delcourt, Head of Communications at Liege Airport. “Digitising our fuel operations is central to our long-term vision for a connected, resilient, and eco-conscious airport.”

Liège Airport handles more than one million tonnes of freight annually and has been expanding its digital infrastructure to attract global logistics players. The adoption of i6’s solutions is expected to reduce manual workload, carbon emissions, and fuel wastage.

“We’re delighted to work with Liege Airport on this industry-leading project,” said Steve Uhrmacher, CEO at i6 Group. “Our technology is proven at over 200 airports worldwide, but partnering with one of the world’s largest freight airports allows us to deliver impact at a truly global scale.”

Founded in 2013, UK-based i6 Group provides digital fuel management systems to over 200 airports worldwide and counts major airlines and fuel providers among its clients.
