Clymet, a specialist logistics provider for the pharmaceutical and life sciences sectors, has officially opened a new office at the Dubai Flower Centre, strengthening its position within the UAE’s strategic air cargo infrastructure. The launch serves as a hub for the company's operations, placing it directly at the centre of the region's pharmaceutical logistics network.

The inauguration, held on 22 April 2026, was attended by key government officials and industry representatives. The opening was marked by the presence of Dr Ahmed Al Humeri, Director of Import & Export at the Emirates Drug Establishment (EDE); Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Director General of Air Cargo Customs at Dubai Customs; and Dr Athari Khalfan, Head of Controlling Borders & Free Zones at EDE. Their attendance underscores the importance of public-private cooperation in managing life-critical supply chains and maintaining regulatory compliance.

In conjunction with the opening, Clymet hosted an industry dialogue involving stakeholders from Dubai Airports, Dubai Customs, the EDE, and major medical distributors. The discussion focused on addressing current challenges in pharmaceutical logistics, with a view to enhancing efficiency, ensuring regulatory compliance, and upgrading infrastructure. By bringing these entities together, Clymet intends to foster a collaborative environment where industry standards can be updated and strengthened to meet the evolving needs of the UAE healthcare market.

For Clymet, the EDE and Dubai Customs are central to daily operations, providing the regulatory framework necessary for the seamless movement of pharmaceutical cargo. Establishing an office at the Dubai Flower Centre allows for closer coordination with these bodies, which is expected to reduce operational bottlenecks and streamline cargo movement.

Thomas Paul, Managing Director of Clymet, commented on the significance of the move: “The initiative reflects Clymet’s commitment to driving collaboration and enabling faster, compliant movement of pharmaceuticals into the UAE.”

This strategic move aligns with the UAE’s broader objective to act as a global hub for medical distribution. As the pharmaceutical industry demands high levels of precision and strict adherence to safety standards, Clymet’s proactive engagement with regulators and supply chain leaders positions the firm to lead future operational improvements. Through this new facility, the company aims to support a more regulated, efficient, and faster supply chain for the benefit of all stakeholders in the region.
