Kales to represent Alaska Airlines cargo in Europe, expand network
Kales partners Alaska Airlines, supports new Seattle-Europe routes and expands cargo network across key markets
Kales Airline Services has been appointed as the official cargo sales agent for Alaska Airlines in the United Kingdom, Ireland and Italy, marking a key step in its international expansion and supporting new transatlantic routes between Seattle and Europe.
The partnership will see Kales support Alaska Airlines’ new daily services linking Seattle with major European cities. Flights between Rome and Seattle are scheduled to begin on 29 April, followed by daily services between Seattle and London starting on 21 May. In the UK, Wexco, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Kales Group, will represent Alaska Airlines.
The Kales Group will also expand its network offerings with Alaska Airlines in important offline markets such as Turkey and India.
Sebastiaan Scholte, CEO of Kales Group, said the cooperation with Alaska and Hawaiian would significantly expand the group’s network and allow it to offer customers more destinations across North America, as well as onward connections to South Korea, Japan and Australia.
Ian Morgan, VP Cargo at Alaska Airlines, said the partnership would provide customers with a seamless experience and highlighted the shared commitment of both companies to high-quality service as they expand in Europe.
The deployment of Boeing 787 aircraft on these routes is expected to strengthen cargo capacity. The aircraft, known for its long-haul efficiency, offers enhanced opportunities for cargo transport and supports growing global logistics demand. In addition to its US domestic network, Alaska and Hawaiian Air Cargo serve 14 locations across Asia, the South Pacific, Canada and Mexico through hubs in Honolulu and Seattle.
With this development, Kales Airline Services aims to strengthen its position in the aviation services sector by enhancing connectivity and offering greater value to customers across Europe and other regions.
