Amber Dubey begins role as CEO (Aero) at Adani Airport Holdings

He will lead Adani’s airport and aviation strategy, focusing on operations, infrastructure, and long-term growth.;

Amber Dubey has taken charge as Chief Executive Officer (Aero) at Adani Airport Holdings Limited (AAHL), with his tenure beginning on 22 December 2025.

In this role, he will be responsible for shaping the group’s airport and aviation strategy, driving operational excellence, infrastructure expansion, and long-term growth across Adani’s rapidly expanding aviation portfolio.

AAHL, the Adani Group’s airport infrastructure arm and a subsidiary of Adani Enterprises Limited, operates eight airports across India: Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Jaipur, Guwahati, Mangaluru, and Thiruvananthapuram.

With over 34 years of experience across aviation and diverse industrial sectors, Dubey brings a wealth of expertise to his new role. His career spans manufacturing, management consulting, and government service, where he has supported organisations in aviation, defence, government, and infrastructure on vision, strategy, operations, and organisational effectiveness.

Before joining AAHL, he held several senior positions, including Senior Advisor at McKinsey & Company and Acting Vice Chancellor at Rajiv Gandhi National Aviation University. He also served as Partner and Head of Aviation and Defence at KPMG, Manager at Arthur Andersen & Co., and Senior Consultant at AF Ferguson (now part of Deloitte). He began his career as an Assistant Manager at Steel Authority of India, according to his LinkedIn profile.

In 2019, Dubey was among eight professionals chosen by the Government of India for policy-making roles. As Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Civil Aviation (2019–22), he led teams that implemented policy reforms in drones, pilot training, aviation education, and capacity building.

He has also served as Co-Chair of Aviation at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), the US-India Business Council (USIBC), and the American Chamber of Commerce in India (AMCHAM), and in 2012 was recognised for his ‘valuable contribution to Indian aviation' by then Aviation Minister Ajit Singh.

Dubey represented Haryana in the 400m sprint (55–60 years) at the 2025 National Masters Athletics Championships in Bengaluru, finishing 6th among 14 finalists, and is training for a podium finish in 2026.

In his free time, he enjoys yoga, cooking, and kitchen gardening.
