AeroUnion has announced the introduction of its new brand, Avianca Cargo Mexico, a new identity to enhance air cargo connectivity between Mexico, the U.S. West Coast, and global markets. The move marks a major step in the company’s 27-year history and includes the addition of its second A330 P2F aircraft to expand service capacity.

While maintaining its own capital structure, operating permits, and internal resources, the new Avianca Cargo Mexico brand aims to offer improved service standards in the freight industry. The rebranding is part of a broader transformation process aimed at regional growth and operational efficiency.

“Our commitment to meet the needs of our customers with excellence, agility and reliability is part of this new launch that comes with key factors of our transformation. We are happy to unveil our new Avianca Cargo Mexico brand, which comes with a robust value proposition and an expanded network to connect Mexico with the world,” said Danilo Correa, Managing Director, Avianca Cargo Mexico.

The second A330 P2F aircraft, which arrived in Mexico on June 20, has a payload capacity of over 60 tonnes. It is equipped to handle oversized and temperature-sensitive cargo. This addition will support international connections, especially with the U.S., Colombia, Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Asia, and Europe.

Avianca Cargo Mexico will operate in collaboration with Avianca Cargo to strengthen its route network and serve industries including technology, automotive, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, personal care, and perishables.

“We celebrate the launch of the new Avianca Cargo Mexico brand, which offers the capacity, commercial alliances and interline agreements of each company to enhance the joint offer and expand connectivity to more than 350 destinations around the world,” said Diogo Elias, CEO of Avianca Cargo.

The Mexican carrier now operates two A330 P2F freighters, which will work alongside Avianca Cargo’s six A330Fs. This fleet alignment is expected to improve cargo handling capabilities and enable further growth in logistics services from the region.

“This achievement is, above all, the result of the talent, passion and dedication of each of our employees. Thanks to their commitment, today we have built a new brand that connects the world, expands our network and allows us to begin a new chapter in our history,” added Correa.
