Liege Airport cargo volumes rise 14% in July and 29% in August

Liege Airport handled 109,370 tonnes of cargo in July 2025 and 111,491 tonnes in August 2025, representing year-on-year increases of 14 per cent and 29 per cent, respectively. Aircraft movements also rose 9 per cent in both months, with 2,464 flights recorded in July and 2,354 in August.
From January to August, the airport processed 847,551 tonnes of cargo, 13 per cent higher than in the same period of 2024. Over the same period, total aircraft movements reached 18,710, up 8 per cent year on year. The results highlight continued growth at the Cargoland logistics hub.
In 2024, Liege Airport reported a total cargo throughput of 1,162,899 tonnes, an increase of 16 percent compared with 1,005,676 tonnes in 2023. This marked the airport’s second-best performance, behind the record of 1,412,498 tonnes handled in 2021. For the last five years, Liège has consistently exceeded one million tonnes in annual cargo throughput.
