FedEx has officially opened its newly upgraded headquarters in Taiwan’s capital, reinforcing its commitment to local staff and supporting expanded operations in Taiwan and the wider Asia-Pacific region. The renovation is designed to improve working conditions and boost the company’s ability to serve key industries.

The renovated headquarters in Taipei covers about 2,900 square metres and brings together strategic planning, operations, marketing, human resources, sales, information technology, legal and finance teams under one roof. The redesign follows FedEx’s People-Service-Profit philosophy and includes features such as multi-purpose lounges, a nursing room, a quiet room, sit-stand desks and dedicated collaboration spaces to enhance staff well-being and cooperation.

New smart office technologies have been installed to improve efficiency and support global collaboration. These include advanced meeting room systems, real-time network redundancy, workflow management tools, improved Wi-Fi coverage and upgraded video conferencing. The office also uses low-carbon and recycled materials and incorporates natural design elements.

Paul Sousa, managing director of FedEx Taiwan, said the upgrade would improve the work environment and the company’s service capabilities. He added that it would help strengthen supply-chain resilience to meet the strict timing and reliability needs of industries such as semiconductors, electronics and e-commerce.

FedEx has also been expanding its network in Taiwan to support local businesses. In response to rising demand from high-tech and e-commerce sectors, the company recently introduced a new daily flight between Taiwan and Incheon in South Korea to improve transit times and network coverage.

FedEx began operations at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport in 1990 and has grown significantly since then. The company now operates 10 world service centres, nine express stations and more than 8,000 authorised shipping centres across Taiwan. Its delivery fleet includes over 400 vehicles and motorcycles, and nearly 1,200 team members provide a full range of express and freight services.
