DSV expands temperature-controlled air freight network
DSV expands its Air ThermoDirect network with new routes, strengthening temperature-controlled logistics for pharmaceutical and healthcare shipments.
Air ThermoDirect is expanding its temperature-controlled logistics network to support growing demand for reliable pharmaceutical and healthcare transportation.
The company is introducing new direct connections between Luxembourg Airport and Shanghai Pudong International Airport, while an additional route linking Indianapolis International Airport and Shanghai Pudong International Airport is scheduled to launch soon.
The services will operate using dedicated freighter capacity and specialised cold-chain handling, providing pharmaceutical customers with greater reliability, control and speed for temperature-sensitive shipments.
The network expansion is aimed at strengthening global healthcare supply chains while helping maintain product integrity throughout the transportation process.

By combining dedicated air capacity with temperature-controlled handling and reusable thermal packaging, Air ThermoDirect enhances DSV’s capabilities to transport temperature-sensitive healthcare shipments efficiently and securely across Europe, the US and Asia.
DSV is expanding its global Air ThermoDirect network with a new direct connection between Luxembourg Airport and Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG), with additional routes from the US planned as part of the network expansion. The move strengthens DSV’s temperature-controlled air freight capabilities amid growing demand for reliable pharmaceutical and healthcare logistics.
The new service provides direct flights between Luxembourg and Shanghai, operated through multiple departures on dedicated freighter aircraft. The dedicated capacity gives DSV greater control over scheduling, routing and cargo handling, helping improve reliability and maintain the required conditions for temperature-sensitive healthcare shipments.
Shanghai Pudong International Airport is a major gateway for pharmaceutical and healthcare cargo, connecting global manufacturers with markets across Asia. The expansion at PVG will enable DSV to support both inbound and outbound pharmaceutical flows while providing consistent temperature-controlled handling throughout the transportation process.
