DHL, SIA renew Boeing 777 freighter agreement
Five Boeing 777 freighters will continue supporting DHL Express’ intercontinental network under a renewed crew and maintenance agreement with Singapore Airlines at Changi Airport.

DHL Express and Singapore Airlines (SIA) have renewed their crew and maintenance agreement covering five Boeing 777 freighters based at Singapore Changi Airport.
The agreement will continue to support the operation and maintenance of the dedicated freighter fleet, strengthening DHL Express’ air cargo network through its Singapore hub.
Under the renewed agreement, Singapore Airlines pilots will continue to operate the five Boeing 777 freighters, while its engineering team will remain responsible for their maintenance.
The aircraft form part of DHL Express’ intercontinental air network, linking its South Asia Hub in Singapore with key destinations across the United States. Travis Cobb, Executive Vice President for Network Operations & Aviation, DHL Express, said, "The renewal of this agreement underlines our commitment to building and investing in the network capacity that keeps global trade moving."
He added that the five Boeing 777 freighters have become an integral part of DHL Express’ intercontinental operations, enabling the reliable and time-definite movement of shipments for customers. Singapore’s position as a major global air logistics hub, combined with Singapore Airlines’ operational expertise, provides a strong foundation for supporting international trade and connecting businesses with markets worldwide.

The five Boeing 777 freighters were progressively introduced into service from 2022, providing dedicated capacity for time-sensitive cross-border shipments. Each aircraft can carry up to 102 tonnes of cargo and is among the largest and longest-range twin-engine freighters in operation.
Based in Singapore, the dual-liveried Boeing 777 freighters strengthen DHL Express’ global aviation network while adding long-haul cargo capacity at Changi Airport. The partnership also highlights the two companies’ focus on supporting continued international trade growth and the role of dependable air connectivity in global supply chains.
