CHAMP Cargosystems has expanded its customer base in the Asia-Pacific region, securing several new clients for its Traxon Global Customs (TGC) and Traxon Global Security (TGS) solutions. This growth underscores the increasing need for software that facilitates regulatory compliance, meeting the heightened demand from governments for detailed air cargo pre-loading and pre-arrival information, according to an official release by CHAMP Cargosystems.

Existing CHAMP customers, including Biman Bangladesh, Korean Air, Sichuan Airlines, and Vietnam Airlines, have signed multi-year contracts for Traxon Global Security—a streamlined platform that assists carriers in managing their Pre-Loading Advance Cargo Information (PLACI) filings.

TGS will ensure that customers remain fully compliant with various pre-loading security screenings, including the European Union’s ICS2, the United States' ACAS, the UK’s PreDICT, the UAE’s NAIC, and Canada’s PACT, which is anticipated to become mandatory in Q4 of 2024, mentions the official release.

This year, Biman Bangladesh, Vietnam Airlines, China Southern, and China Cargo Airlines have also signed multi-year contracts for Traxon Global Customs. By utilising CHAMP’s simplified reporting tool, these airlines can efficiently exchange information with over 60 country customs authorities, regardless of the format, communication protocols, or processing rules involved.

By adopting these tools, companies can automate PLACI filing, ensuring that customs authorities have access to compliant information and reducing the risk of penalties or errors from misfiling. Customers are now well-prepared to meet the requirements of customs authorities across various markets, the release added.

“Our customers in Asia Pacific have looked upon and entrusted CHAMP as a global IT supplier to help with their compliance needs. We are proud to support more efficient regulatory filing by providing a streamlined solution to meet both PLACI and ACI (Advance Cargo Information) compliance while they focus on other key activities running their businesses,” says Zeta Loo, Head of Commercial Operations for APAC at CHAMP Cargosystems.
